2024 Regional CotY Award Winner, Universal Design - Bath
This bath was included in the first part of a three phase remodel of an old brick farmhouse which didn't have a functional bathroom. Two extended family members, an elderly gentleman and his son, who uses an electric wheelchair, needed to move in prior to the full completion of the project (an addition), and they would share a new bath located between their bedrooms. Space for chair maneuverability, a roll-in shower with a standard and adjustable shower heads, individual sinks for each, and appropriate grab bars accommodates the needs of both gentlemen with a clean and masculine aesthetic.
