2016 Region 6 Northwest CotY Award Winner, Residential Kitchen $100,001 to $150,000
The client wanted an open kitchen in a style truer to the architecture of her 1896 home. The new layout flows much better, with adequate working space around the sink, prep areas for multiple cooks and lots of counter space around the new range. Quartz countertops evoke period marble without maintenance issues. A wall of subway tile enhances the feel of a turn-of-the-century kitchen. Since the house is a historical landmark, one of our biggest challenges was designing around different window heights, which could not be changed.
