The homeowner, a single dad of three, wanted to redesign his home to adapt to his family's changing needs as the children grew, including accommodations for his child with special needs who will be living with him long-term. This 1970s ranch-style home featured the era's typical segmented rooms, along with a walled-off kitchen and formal dining area. The space was open up with structural beams and columns to turn it into a bright, welcoming space for entertaining and family fun.
