Energy efficiency, low maintenance, clean indoor-air, and a quiet and inviting space were the clients’ top priorities for this project. Incredible attention to insulation and air sealing yielded a quiet indoor environment for this home located on a busy street. Focusing on robust high-performance walls, windows and doors, this home’s energy performance is superior while also reducing sound transmission from the outside. The protected exterior entry adds colorful curb appeal and symmetry to the front of the home. By reconfiguring the front door, they gained an informal interior foyer leading to an open and bright kitchen, dining and family room.
