2019 Regional CotY Award Winner, Entire House Over $1,000,000
The clients wanted to transform their 4,977-square-foot lodge pole pine log home to better entertain their family and friends. They also wanted to incorporate modern design and function in this whole house remodel. Renovating the conventionally wood-framed home had its challenges. The existing lodge pole pine construction was often not square, and required hand-scribing and detailed craftsmanship to make new finishes fit. Highlights include a stairwell moved to an exterior wall to create a two-story stair tower with full-window wall and custom chandelier that extends all three stories, and a glass-walled wine cellar framed in stone. The result is a beautiful blend of steel, stone and timber that highlights and complements the existing log home.
