2018 National CotY Award Winner, Residential Kitchen $100,001 to $150,000
The renovation of this Boston condominium kitchen highlights the space’s existing geometry, making the long, narrow space an asset for the creation of a glossy galley. Using the same footprint, cabinetry was added along both sides of the kitchen using sleek materials to create a modern, streamlined look. The white lacquer cabinets with magnetic closures give the kitchen its sheen. The contrasting lower cabinetry in a dark glaze anchors the space. Caesarstone white countertops and full-height backsplash provide continuity. The floor tile, set in a herringbone pattern, offers visual interest while complementing the mix of horizontal and vertical aspects of the space.
