The clients' kitchen was dark and cramped. By expanding the kitchen into their dining room, a brighter, more spacious layout that eliminated collisions was created, and made meal preparation a pleasurable experience. A large prep island with an uninterrupted countertop surface and casual seating was incorporated with access from all four sides. Two large pantry cabinets were positioned on the side wall to capture all the small appliances and countertop clutter due to previously lacked storage.
