Perched atop a luxury penthouse, this kitchen renovation was designed to maximize the sweeping 360-degree views of the city. The client's goal was to reorient the kitchen layout, removing an obstructive pantry and repositioning the island to fully embrace the vistas. The old kitchen was demoed, the space reframed, and new electrical and plumbing were installed, along with glass to enhance the open feel. Custom cabinetry, a stone-clad vent hood, and polished Cristallo quartzite countertops were added, along with a new breakfast area. The unique challenge was transporting a massive countertop slab to the 53rd floor without compromising its seamless beauty.
