2024 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Interior $100,000 to $250,000
This pre-civil war home was a solid masonry home with exterior walls and most interior walls three brick thick. The hope for the project was to eliminate the poor layout from 1851 and bring into the modern area of hosting without loosing the old world feel. A 1980s kitchen was gutted, removing a servant's staircase and leaving the ceiling exposed. Large sections of interior masonry walls were removed, and steel beams were installed to allow for hosting large groups. A luxury bathroom and comfortable laundry room were remodeled to the owner's specifications.
