2019 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Kitchen $30,000 to $60,000
This home was not serving the needs of the clients who have two active toddlers to keep an eye on. Their 1941-era kitchen was closed off from the rest of the house, and the two main appliance doors collided with each other when open. To open up the space, the wall separating the dining and living rooms was removed. The final design keeps the original style of the home intact, but takes it to the next level with modern cabinets and appliances, and a white subway tile backsplash that goes all the way to the ceiling. The new island includes a dining room table placed against it. The result adds charm and provides the open, airy look the clients envisioned.
