2019 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Kitchen Over $150,000
After a flood had damaged 75 percent of their home, remodeling the kitchen was one of the priorities for these homeowners. Since they entertain large groups, they wanted to open up the kitchen to the dining and living space and address the ambiguous flow from the entry way to the powder room and the kitchen. Closing off a walkway from the entry and opening up the space to other living areas solved these issues, allowing for more cabinetry, a beverage area and a large island. White materials and finishes, such as the mosaic pattern backsplash, drop edge countertops and cabinets, set off the brushed cabinet hardware, polished nickel plumbing features and the brushed brass island pendants.
