Beavercreek, Ohio
2019 National CotY Award Winner, Residential Kitchen Under $30,000
The homeowners wanted to update and expand their existing kitchen without sacrificing space from the surrounding areas. The existing kitchen had a very small footprint, original builder grade cabinetry, poor lighting, laminate counter tops and laminate flooring. It also included hanging cabinetry placed over a peninsula, which secluded the kitchen from the adjoining dining area, making it unfit for holding conversations between the two spaces. A “form meets function” design improved efficiency and aesthetics. The new kitchen includes white shaker style cabinetry, granite counter tops and a stone backsplash. Stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse style sink and faucet, and ceramic tile flooring that resembles wood were added as well.
