Columbus, Ohio
2021 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Interior Under $100,000
Built in 1917, this French eclectic style home had been heavily renovated in the 1970s, with the back half of the house taking on a very modern renovation while the front of the home was left alone. The clients wanted to renovate the back of the home to complement the existing 1917 structure, so the underutilized dinette was converted into a bourbon room. The space features an array of brick, stonework and dark woods, including a brick groin vault ceiling with stone arches and walls, custom character-grade hickory cabinetry and white oak flooring. Windows were also removed to make the space dark and cozy.
