The owner had moved back into and wanted to update her 1924 Italian Renaissance Revival childhood home. Project goals included improving flow in the kitchen and back entry area, adding a powder room on the main level, and remodeling the kitchen. Features include wainscot and basket-weave tile in the powder room, ogee-edge countertops in the kitchen and bath, and custom glass doors and glass inserts on the upper kitchen cabinets. This remodel showcases how a home can be updated with modern amenities and technologies, while maintaining the home’s original character and the owner’s personal tastes.
