This brick Queen Anne home resembling a castle was the third home built on its street in historic Clintonville, Ohio. Before its first residents, this was once the Latin School, which was rented to the Clinton Township Board of Education. The clients desired a code compliant, stately front porch, deserving of this home. The new porch features historically appropriate trim, moldings and railings constructed from low-maintenance urethane foam; and columns made of round-tapered fiberglass. The period appropriate beadboard ceiling was painted blue and has recessed ceiling lighting. The new split-face block at the foundation complements the 137-year-old foundation, and includes a weatherproof outlet.
