2019 Regional CotY Award Winner, Residential Bath Under $25,000
This 1906 home had a bathroom facelift in the 1980s but needed renovating to add storage and several contemporary features. A shallow floating vanity with wall mount faucet, a recessed medicine cabinet and tall linen closet increased storage. Changing the swing door to a pocket door with mirror added floor space. A special compact round front toilet with bidet seat met the challenging code requirements. The new bathroom also features a deeper tub, white subway tile with black grout, patterned cement floor tiles, Corian countertops and warm wood cabinetry. This tiny room is now not only functional and inviting for the family, but a contemporary version of the home’s original character.
