The clients’ English cottage was disconnected from the backyard with a closed-off and dark kitchen, and their growing family was running out of room. A two-story addition at the back of the home expanded the kitchen outward and connected it to the backyard with a folding patio door and new covered deck. The addition includes a new stair tower, which allowed for a new layout to the cramped second floor. A new master suite and two fully remodeled bathrooms were completed as well. As a result, the family’s home experience has completely changed from meal time to outdoor play.
