The idea to create additional space in this quaint two bedroom, one bathroom home was sparked when the old roof needed replacing. The possibility of an open and expansive master suite with an urban/old world charm won over the clients’ heart and mind. The existing attic was demolished, the roof was raised and two dormers were added to create a livable second story. The clients finally escaped the small main level bedroom so characteristic of older homes with this bright and open second story addition.
