This outdoor gathering place behind the house is the center of activity for a family that enjoys being outdoors for most of the year. The structure is a balance of bold and delicate design forms and materials that allow it to visually stand as its own dwelling. The result: a beautiful modern pavilion. A graceful connection to the existing home was achieved with an elegant cedar screen wall that embraces the home’s color palette. The locally sourced solid log column and brick fireplace offer a visually strong anchor and dramatic support to the screen wall, trellis, and tapered roof. The new space includes an outdoor dining area, entertainment center, grill station, and lounge area with custom hanging day bed.
