Perched on a hilltop, this 1948 home and many of its original elements were beloved by the homeowners, but they wanted more space to relax and entertain and a design more connected to its stunning natural surroundings. They wanted to express their appreciation for Craftsman design and architecture. Now double its original size with a new second level and dramatically expanded outdoor living space, this luxurious retreat now communicates an authentic, woodsy warmth. Natural stone, exposed beams and rafter tails, and brick detailing evoke the Craftsman aesthetic while the design elevates appreciation of breathtaking coastal views.
