This turn-of-the-century Victorian Cottage fell into disrepair and was in danger of being lost. The cottage appears to have originally been designed as a single-story home with an attic. Before permitting and historical regulations, residents finished the attic, adding an assortment of dormers. The new design called for an open floor plan with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, utilizing the renovated attic as much as possible. Despite some rot, the rim joists, framing and wood siding remained largely intact. Exterior elements, including wood shake siding on the front gable, were preserved.
