The team made some significant, yet sensitive changes to this 1952 midcentury-style home. The entire exterior was updated, while maintaining half of the existing roofline and expanding the second floor with a contemporary flat roof, thus increasing the square footage on the second floor. The rear expansion involved changing a jalousie porch into an expanded dining room and kitchen. The flat roof over this area hosts an upper deck, perfect for private entertainment. Structural finesse with hidden steel beams supporting this allowed for an open plan in lieu of the existing small rooms.
