2018 National CotY Award Winner, Entire House $250,000 to $500,000
Built in 1918, this is the fifth oldest home in its city. With three children entering their teens, the homeowners had growing demands for their home, which had cramped living spaces and lacked modern-day luxuries. This project included an addition on the back of the home for an enlarged family room, relocated kitchen, mudroom, and laundry. A butler’s pantry was added where the old kitchen stood. The second floor was reconfigured to create a master suite and full bath, and a new bedroom with in-suite bathroom was added to the third floor. The breakfast room and the powder room were the only rooms that maintained their original layout while getting their makeovers.
