2016 Region 6 Northwest CotY Award Winner & NATIONAL CotY Award Winner, Green Project Recognition, Entire House Over $1,000,000
The outstanding transformation of this 1960s bungalow into a modern, energy-efficient West Coast design is more than cosmetic. Located within a ravine and stream set-back that bordered the property, the homeowners decided to renovate rather than build new to take full advantage of the site. The top-floor addition accommodates all the bedrooms while taking advantage of the mountain views, adds more natural light and ensures privacy from neighboring properties. The project involved a total re-configuration of the home’s layout, plus removing walls to create open linear spaces that connect the indoors to the outdoors.
