This expansive, nearly 130-year-old dairy barn restoration was transformed into a beautiful and fully-functioning four season rental hall. The once hazardous site was safely restored and modernized, while still retaining its historic charm on time and under budget. The original structure was bat and rodent infested, had a failing structure and neglected grounds. Work included repairing and replacing the roof, removing and rebuilding the rubble foundation, installing a wire mesh barrier to prevent wildlife from entering, and adding a polished concrete slab. Most of the interior walls feature seasoned old barn wood, reclaimed from original floor surfaces. A kitchenette and four public bathrooms were added as well. The updated and re-purposed space is now used for educational programs and banquet type events.
