2022 Regional CotY Award Winner, Basement $100,000 to $250,000
The homeowners wanted their traditional home to reflect their modern aesthetic. Their unfinished basement was a blank canvas waiting to be transformed into a personal gym and sauna/spa, with multi-purpose entertainment space including a home theater and a comfortable guest suite. Lack of natural lighting, a support post that couldn’t be moved, a cracked foundation and COVID were the major challenges faced during this project. Work onsite began after the “Safer at Home” mandate was lifted. A safe work environment was maintained by limiting onsite workers to ensure physical distancing and by using a separate entrance.
