These clients both love to cook and wanted to create a kitchen that provided additional workspace and storage. The flow of their kitchen and living area was obstructed by a load bearing column and arched openings. The column was removed and two LVL beams were installed to carry the load of the second story. This opened up kitchen now includes custom cabinets, new appliances, a large island and hand-scraped wood flooring that matches the living area. The adjacent wet bar was gutted and the ceiling was raised with a barrel ceiling. Custom cabinetry was installed in the wet bar as well.
