2018 National CotY Award Winner, Residential Historical Renovation/ Restoration $250,000 and Over
This project includes additions and renovation of “The Red House,” an 1860s farm home, situated on two acres. The project consisted of remodeling the interior of the existing 5,886-square-foot home, planning six separate additions, adding a pool house, and building a four car garage, while maintaining the historic nature and setting of the existing structures. The new spaces were designed around an entertaining space, with pool and courtyard. The historic nature of the farm has been maintained and improved with the use of many salvaged materials. Artisans, blacksmiths, carpenters and stone masons handcrafted materials. Two 1800s-era barns were carefully dismantled. The materials were then reused to create this distinctive historic home.
