The owners of this isolated property wanted to expand their deck to take greater advantage of their spectacular mountain views to the northwest and to provide an accessible route in and out of their home. A new deck to the west, approximately 4 feet below the original deck, was added and extends around the west elevation. The two decks were connected with stairs and a ramp. A new entry into the home was incorporated into the design as well. A hillside elevator was constructed from the new deck to the street approximately 20 feet above.
