2018 National CotY Award Winner, Residential Addition $100,000 to $250,000
The client had two goals with this remodel: add additional living space and change the home’s style from Mid Century to Mission Revival. To accomplish this, the addition needed a striking design, and the existing home’s overhangs had to be removed. The design included a 400-square-foot living room addition with new front entry, and a complete exterior remodel. Spanish visor roof tile accents and shaped parapets bring the Mission Revival style to life, along with a smooth stucco finish and reclaimed solid wood entry doors. On the interior, a new entry, living and dining space were added, an allowed for an open kitchen and entertaining area. Features include eight-foot-tall arched-top French doors and a faux fireplace made of masonry.
