2018 National CotY Award Winner, Green - Entire House/Addition Projects
This beautiful three story Green Craftsman-style home was designed and constructed with careful thinking about the approach of design, accessibility, aesthetics, cost effectiveness, functionality, productivity and health, and safety/security. It was important for this growing family to design their home with flexibility, Green elements and construction techniques that could expand to meet future needs and provide a healthy living environment. This home showcases multiple design and structural features on both the exterior and interior, includes a universal designed room, and Green initiatives such as energy efficiency throughout the house, indoor air quality, recycled materials, water conservation, and natural light. A highlight is the new porch, which provides a sheltered outdoor space.
