Just like the mighty oaks flanking their home, the homeowners' need for space grew with their expanding family. Their original 1939 Cape Cod home with its two tiny dormers was charming, but with a fourth child on the way, the couple longed for the convenience of an attached garage, mudroom, a master bathroom to call their own and more upper level bedrooms. Adding nearly 1,500 square feet between three levels met this family’s needs. On the exterior, an expanded gable and wraparound porch strengthened the home’s curb appeal while balancing the broadened facade.
